The iOS 11 Thread/Discussion

App Store and Music log in independently.

 No they don't.

You can use a different account for iCloud services but changing App store accounts logs you out of Apple Music. I'd take screenshots for you but I'm not in the mood to download all my music yet again.

Music doesn’t drop you library if you switch between US and SA accounts

Yes it does.

Yeah I’m not saying it’s not related to the update.

But could be a different underlying kind of issue.

Doesn’t sound like a major problem though.

It’s the biggest issue imho. Apple should be smooth. It took many months for iOS 10 to be butter smooth on the plus devices. Starting all over again with 11. The lag is bleedy horrible. I don’t care if some people don’t notice it, it’s there and should be addressed. But like I said before, a month before iOS 12 rolls out, we will have a smooth solid version of 11.

App Store and Music log in independently.

How?

Sorry gents it seems auto correct got me there.

I actually said (or meant to say) in my original post that it DOES drop your library not that it doesn’t and that’s why it was expected.

This farking SwiftKey thing screws me over like this all the time. Should just go back to Apple native keyboard.

Aaah yes sorry confused services. Long day, my bad.

But it’s odd I swopped the other day for something quickly and it didn’t reset that I’m aware of.

Maybe it’s because I was quick enough and didn’t open Music during the switch.

Then again don’t keep much on my phone so probably wouldn’t notice if it did.

Gboard. Nuff said.

Nah that also infuriated me.

When they finally add Afrikaans support I might try it again.

Also for some reason neither understands the swirly (Flow) auto complete thing using left hand.

Come to think of it maybe I should switch that off as I don't use it for the above and might affect auto correct.

Or just stick to native OEM keyboard which always works, nerve crashes and is never delayed.

What on earth is with the App updates no pulling thru on my iPhone & iPad? I know there are updates there but when I are open the App Store nothing shows + they took away the App Store refresh trick in iOS 11. It will only show updates like hrs later or next day even...

Open updates, pull down and it refreshes.

Thanks. Lol that simple...slight learning curve. Previously for all those years you just open the App Store and it will prompt you with the various updates.

At least it’s a consistent, easy to use updater now, no need for tricks anymore ;)

So since the update neither mine nor my girlfriends Siri is working? She listens, but never actually shows what I said or shows any results. Anyone else?

Does a bunch of flowers and sincere apology fix it?
That's planned for the next version. This version, you just have to suffer the consequences without knowing why it happened, until it's over.

The AI has become very advanced at emulating human behaviour

Though I’m OK, Siri is still speaking to me ;).

Biggest score i.r.o. iOS 11 on my phone, must be the new photos' standard!

Went from about 7GB available immediately prior to update, to 62GB available on iOS 11, with the total space being taken by Photos now far below that taken by my Apps and Media.

Since I am using Apple Photos, and in theory have access to all the photos I have ever taken on any device, this is a really nice improvement, and has gone a long way to offsetting the drawback to using Photos across all...
