The iOS 15 Thread/Discussion

You crossed over to the BEE side?

Next you will tell us you dumped your Audi for a Gravel and/or Chery
Jaaa, handed the Show-me to my mum (Her Redmi 8 is dying) and I wanted a change of scenery. I ended up getting an iPhone 11 Pro 256GB for a smidge over 10k. Basically unused - it still has 100% battery health :D

The only Audi I’d swap my Avant for would be a TDI - the fuel economy is killing me with town driving:X3:

I got this on my MacBook Pro, I did shut my computer down so I don't know why I got this messageIMG_3173.jpg

Running 15.4, and have run into a weird issue recently: the weather widget randomly doesn’t update. Yeah, I live in England, so it’s probably going to be overcast or raining, sure, but I can’t find anything online on how to get the widget to update.

“Fixes” range from deleting and reinstalling the weather app (done, works for about a day afterwards) to enabling background refresh - only problem is, it was removed for the weather app in iOS 15. Also, the problem isn’t the weather app itself, because it instantly updates to the current conditions when I open it (with correct data displayed on the widget), but rather with the widget.

Any ideas? Alternative weather apps/widgets?

I’m kind of stickler for having the weather on my home screen since my HTC days, don’t hate.

So there's an interesting bug with Focus modes, all the way through from when they were first implemented in iOS15 to the current 15.4.1 where even if you have the Share Across Devices turned off in settings, a particular Focus mode will still enable on other devices if it was triggered through a shortcut or automation.
It's a bit of a PITA as I have work devices with shortcuts and automations for focus modes which should not affect my personal devices. I suppose I should have created a separate Apple ID for the work devices instead of running everything off my private Apple ID.

Apple today released iOS 15.5 and iPadOS 15.5, the fifth major updates to the iOS and iPadOS 15 operating systems that were initially released in September 2021. iOS and iPadOS 15.5 come a little over two months after the launch of iOS 15.4 and iPadOS 15.4.

iOS 15.5 includes the following improvements and bug fixes:
- Wallet now enables Apple Cash customers to send and request money from their Apple Cash card
- Apple Podcasts includes a new setting to limit episodes stored on your iPhone and automatically delete older ones
- Fixes an issue where home automations, triggered by people arriving or leaving, may fail.

WhatsApp has a bug on the latest version (22.10.76). If you had Media Auto Download set to Never, that would have gotten reset and you’ll now notice media downloading from all of the groups/chats you are part of. Setting it back to never only sorts it out for a short while until it resets again.

I reported it to WhatsApp and they said it will be fixed soon. Just thought I’d post this in case you notice your gallery loaded with junk :D

I seem to be fine hey, it’s still off on mine, is it certain models or just a bug that pops up on random devices I wonder.
