Meaningless to some, meaningful to others, and a curiosity - probably to most.
For my part, a quaint curiosity.
I'll be doing whatever I would normally do on a Saturday, no doubt I'll catch bits and pieces of this event on TV, but will certainly not be bringing my day to a halt to watch this event unfold.

I do think Charles will try bring about some changes to the institution of the crown, dragging it out of the 13th century and bringing it more in line with current times, as many other European royal families have done.
Despite his many eccentricities, he does seem more in touch with the regular population. It would appear he has given his children more freedom of choice than ever seen before in the history of the family.
He certainly seems to have real concerns with how we have damaged our very own environment, without being a deranged lunatic about it.
These are all small little steps in the right direction, small steps away from a rigid past.
But time will tell.
