Correct .. thats why the X1 is no longer worth the wait for me .. all I get different .. is a slightly wider screen (and some panels .. lol) .. if it had been Symbian instead .. it would count as a pro .. (in my view) .. and potentially would have been worth waiting for..

How long you been waiting for then?
Because the info concerning it running on Windows Mobile has been around since Feb I reckon ;)

Thats right, I have been waiting for either the HTC Touch PRO, or the X1, but pricing details have only become available lately. The decision was always between these 2 phones for me, but they only released the price points about 2 weeks ago and the HTC became available last week .. so now the wait is over for me, because it was more about a race between SE and HTC (if the price had been comparable) .. but now that the prices have been released, even if the X1 had been released first .. I still would've waited because the HTC is practically the same functionality for 4k less ...

Ive been waiting for these phones since about April .. now at least Ive ordered my HTC .. which will be arriving mid week.

Have heard good things about HTC's interface.
 
Anyone seen a good deal on HTC Touch Pro? I still see it everywhere with a R3500 price tag on a Procall 500 package.

Although it is the same price than the Diamond elsewhere in the world - the moment SA dealers see "Pro" they go: Here is my chance to screw the public :-)

I've been waiting quite a while for this to be released in South Africa and now already the next model is launched elsewhere! Maybe grey imports are the way to go?
