Stellantis South Africa has issued a safety recall for Jeep Grand Cherokee models sold between 2023 and 2025 in our market. The automaker’s local arm says the airbag control unit module may have been produced with permanently active, faulty software in the door airbag pressure sensor. As a result, the Grand Cherokee’s front side airbags might deploy later than necessary during an accident. This may increase chances of injury during certain crashes and reduce protection for front passengers.
