The LONMIN share price thread

Guys that's Lonmin in the UK unfortunately.



Not the one on the JSE.

Obviously it could have some bearing on the local stock, but it doesn't correlate directly.
 
**** no, I'm not touching Lonmin again, still busy recovering my initial 45k loss, need another 10k

We've got a guy in the Stock Watch thread that reckons he is a gambling kinda guy and wants to invest R1mil into SGL (cos the director is a strapping upstanding guy) and leave it there for 5 years and see what happens. SGL being a mining company of course. Definitely the kinda people that have time to be on a forum all day :D

lol! Because people throw money at companies in our current economic state.

Well, I decided to to sell off and bought in only R500k worth of shares in SGL yesterday. My total portfolio - I was too scared. Be as it may, I am up R14 997 for the day so far. Best return any of my other shares gave me this far. I still think it is a good idea to invest my whole portfolio in them.

If you are really doing it then you either have massive balls or are a complete nutcase. That's all I'm saying.

And don't forget running a company in the background while doing all that :p

Trading for me is a hobby currently and I'm using cash that I don't mind losing in it's entirety, which is obviously a large sum of money to some I guess.

I'll be rooting for you Kwadi as 50% of my current portfolio is in SGL, if all goes well over the next 3 months I'm hoping to increase my stake 3 fold.
