who knows, maybe this is the start of their recovery but I dont think so.

long way to go before that R30 mark, and like Thor said, I'll convert to any bloody religion once/if that happens!!!

but - unfortunately i might just leave the religion immediately once she hits R30 :P

Meanwhile, shares in platinum producer Lonmin (LSE: LMI) continue to mount a successful comeback. They are up by 30% in the last week and although they remain hugely volatile, further gains in the short run cannot be ruled out.

Looking ahead, Lonmin’s new strategy appears to be sound, with the company aiming to slash costs, cut exploration spend and become a leaner and more profitable business. Although it will take time to deliver, Lonmin now appears to have the financial resources through which to turn its poor performance around following its recent fundraising.

Certainly, there is a major question mark over the price of platinum and other commodities over the medium to long term, but with sentiment having improved dramatically in recent days, Lonmin could now be of interest to less risk averse investors

Man, this is not cool at all. I keep telling myself "Dude, don't buy more shares in Lonmin"

Couple days later I find myself buying more shares since it looks so juicy, but as soon as I buy the shares tank hard :(

Then I'm like "WTF dude, I told you not to buy more, wtf is wrong with you!"

Then I see the price increasing 8%, 12%, 28% in a day and I tell myself "Ok now is the time, buy more you idiot!"

So I buy more and yes, the price tanks again.

Evil ****ing circle I'm in, gawd you'd think I'd learn by now!

It's very quickly getting to the point of no return.

Yeah man, I don't know, I have this voice in my head that keeps saying "Dude, don't be a pussy, take the risk, it will be worth it"

Been buying all the time, heck my avg. is currently sitting on R18.34, but my risk factor is now EXTREMELY HIGH

Fck My avg is R28 ..... Gawd fck dammit.

BUT... if it dips to R5 then I will buy a noteworthy amount >20K

And GAMBLE hard for a short term gain. Like I mean full on orgasmic adrenaline like we had earlier with that 27cents to R1.1 jump

Good times indeed!!! Picked up R6k Lonmin this morning and another R5k Harmony. /sits_tight
 
Going to be a stressful day, can't handle it, think I'm rather going to do some work and come back at 3pm

I'm either going to lose 15-30k, or gain 15-30k

Jeeez, brave man!!! I flogged my Astoria and used most of the cash to buy a whole lot more DSY.

I keep telling myself the only way how I am going to lose money is if lonmin closes it's doors, hand deep down I think they have a few cards up there sleeves before they close. Drastic measures as a last resort.

Because all that needs to happen is them strolling along staying alive and then 2 years from now when comodities return then they will be so streamlined that a profit must be on the table.

This is my long term motivation behind lonmin apart from it being a complete gamble
 
Ok so today didn't go as planned, was hoping for a bit more positives than negatives.

I basically ended up cashing out all my other "profitable" shares and tossed it into Lonmin today, which brought my avg. down to R16.50, so that is one positive I guess, but also a negative as I'm not completely and utterly over-exposed.

Second positive being that the share price ended up 9.37% higher @ R13.77, it did however reach R15.50 at once stage during the day.

I might be able to reach break-even if things pan out tomorrow *holds thumbs*

My easyequities.co.za account is taking a rough up.

You know since I bought Rhodes and taste it's been a downward spiral ever since and I do not have sufficient knowledge what to look for in that food space.

The only share that has been remarkable is shoprite, gawd dammit whitey basson is a force to be recon with.
