The LONMIN share price thread

There is no point in bailing now as I will NEVER get 70% back on any other share, besides, Lonmin is by far the riskiest trade around at the moment, so will stick with them lol

Unless you can point me in the direction of something else that might grow that fast in 2-4 weeks, with extremely high risk, then I might consider it :D

COH :p :(

Seriously though, LON is definitely not on my list (if I had such a list) of somethings that'll grow by 70% in the next 2-4 weeks. Look for something cheap like WEZ and try your luck :D

Lol funny enough I was looking at WEZ about 30 minutes ago, am however steering clear of anything platinum related.

Btw, DRD is up 84% the last month, Harmony (HAR) almost 100%. So If you reckon it is not too late to get on the gold wagon there is still some cash to be made. DRD is "cheap" at R4.30 atm.

I hear you, unfortunately I think it might be a bit late to climb into these, with that said I did grab some SGL awhile back.

(&#^)*^_(_$ CURRO, I sold mine awhile back, lost a little bit, but then decided to buy again yesterday........ sold it all again an hour ago. Not going with them again until I see positive growth for at least 5 days in row.

Heck if you look at Advtech they only lost about 9% of their value over the same period, does not bode well for Curro already 22% down.

As for Lonmin.....
Avg. Purchase Price R 28.71
15m Delayed Share Price R 8.71
Profit/(Loss) % -69.66%
Have you guys looked at curro p/e ratio?

Wouldn't it be for every R100? F*%% I just bought Curro in December!!
I was looking at the LON one, not Curro. My bad. And I'm not that sure if I'm reading the P/E correctly anyway.

EDIT: Curro is almost 200. Might be an indication that it is oversold. Again, just guessing.

Another day, another disaster, almost 6% up though, not that it really equates to anything when it comes to Lonmin.

*edit*

How bizarre, Lonmin ended on 20% upswing today, landing on R10.36, still a far cry from the required R30 mark though, but it has to start somewhere right :p

Lets see what comes next week :D

If lonmin hits in the 30's then I'll convert to what ever religion the JSE wants.

I am down so badly with them.

Wonder what today will bring, either major selloff or buy-in...... probably the latter I guess.

Still have no idea why it spiked so much on Friday.......markets, even more impossible to figure out than women.

As suspected shares dropped by roughly 5% yesterday, I have a feeling it will be gaining around 8% today, lets see if my magic ball works :D

*update*

So far so good
