The LONMIN share price thread

Anyone else planning on picking up some LON, KIO or ACL early tomorrow morning for an intraday trade? I'm comfortable with LON (I know the beast that is Lonmin and how it can make you smile and cry in the same day) but KIO scares me after today.

I still have all three listed above, except I got scared of Lonmin when it started dropping and cut my stock by 80%

Feeling kinda sad about that decision, but made a ****load already, so it's all good.

Will feel it out tomorrow morning and might up my stake if it looks juicy enough :)

KUMBAIO up 34.62%
ARCMITTAL up 24.39%
LONMIN up 22.79%

Has been my best day by FAR!

The current rally should continue as long as oil keeps rising, at least that's how I'm playing it.

R30k is my gambling money that I throw at Lonmin, Kumba or whatever else takes my fancy for the day. I may push it to R40k if my spidey senses tingle uncontrollably for a specific stock, but not without my fair share of nerves.

Doubtful. There are some serious ballers in this forum from the sounds of things. Pun intended ;-)
 
After reading data released this morning, I'm not too sure if the rally will continue today, am actually thinking of selling most of it, but will wait and see how the markets open and reacts in the first hour or two.

Lonmin drops 3%/open low.

/Thor sells

*Lonmin closes at R50.
 
Typical was me selling KIO at 14% up yesterday and thinking it was the perfect trade, only to watch it close at 34% up :-/. Biggest trading blunder this year.

We've all been there, asking the WHAT IF question.

Personally I feel mining shares will tank today, by how much remains to be seen. I'll gladly climb back in once things settle down.

However, I might be completely wrong, best to do your own research I guess. So please don't go selling everything just because of what I feel will be happening, I'd feel dog**** if it turns out to be wrong and other people suffer because of it.

Just read some more recent data released this morning, which is making things even more interesting, as now I'm not sure what's going to happen.

On the one side things look great, but on the other it's not so good *shrug*

Fk, I don't know anymore :(

I'm going to throw these assumptions out there, but please don't act on them!

Platinum stocks will drop today

Iron ore,steel,gold,tin,zinc stocks will rise.

Will relook this assumption at close of trade today to see if I was right ie:. KIO,ACL,ARM,HAR,SGL,DRD will climb.
