The LONMIN share price thread

IG, FNB (three products), OST (standard bank), ABSA, GT24/7 (same people as Easy Equities), ETFSA

It all depends on how much you are going to be trading. If you are not trading a good couple of thousand rand at a time then these bigger platforms might be too expensive, hence the appeal of Easy Equities (their bigger more featured platform being GT247). So for trading small amounts your options are:

Easy Equities, FNB's Share Saver (forces you to buy into RMB40 and RMBMID..top 100 companies on JSE) which is very cheap and automated and ETFSA which allows you to only buy into ETFs. Despite what some of these overly emotional and rash decision makers are saying on this site, Easy Equities is still a very good option if you want to build wealth over the long term.

FNB's Share Builder is relatively cheap but you can only buy from a select bucket of shares they think is best. Then there is FNB's Share Investor which is expensive but fully featured like OST.

If I'm not mistaken ABSA's trading platform's trading costs (or some fee) falls away if you trade more than 5 times a month...or something like that. You'll need to investigate.

The benefit of using your bank's trading platform is that it is integrated into your online banking stuff.
Thanks man. I waiting for the price to dip again so I can get in with the lonmin game. sorry I know you guys want lonmin to go up but I need it to drop
