The LONMIN share price thread

I am back in Lonmin at R12.28, I felt like going to the casino but instead put some money on Lonmin, lets see what happens on the 24th when we get downgraded and its impact on the Rand ( hence my speculation ). I think I might have a problem :(

I decided to give it go - got in at R12.67 though.
I still have some cash in the share account to mitigate any slumps (hopefully won't have to).

I've been playing this share in the Investor Challenge, and its an absolute roller-coaster.

Just holding Lonmin, I've been virtually last for the majority of the time, and then I peaked at 15th just prior to them postponing the year end results, which promptly dropped me back to almost last. Insane, its a real gamble.

I do feel that it wont really drop much below what it is now, although if its year end results are terrible then thats still a possibility. If year end results show optimism then it will most likely bounce back to well over R20 in a couple of days following, and possibly beyond that. Dont think it'll go over R25 though.

Airwolf I take it your water supply is as erratic as this share? I am banking on selling this puppy after the downgrade meeting next week.

Same here, as soon as I'm in a bit of a profit to cover the costs I'm selling.

I'll probably regret it afterwards but I've been at a loss for about a year now - would've been better off pumping it into my more stable shares :(

Airwolf - No dont live there thankfully ( Ugu is in a mess ) but we have had a beach house in Ramsgate for 20 years....so I know of the pain you all are going through.

I dont think their results will be bad, as production is up last I heard and the rand/Dollar is making their margins improve. But who knows.

Insane, I'm not sure why.
