imo, why is this little girls case such a big topic?

thousands of kids (and adults) go missing every year, never to be found again,
I mean just watch crimestop (if it still is being aired on SABC1) many millions of people around the world go missing and people eventually move on (as difficult as that may be)

where is Madelin today?, probably dead, either by the parents, or by the kidnappers deciding to run away from all the publicity generated from this event.

I don't get why the worlds media has so highly publicized her kidnapping over the thousands of other missing kids and adults around the world?
come to SA, we have dozens of mcannes going missing everyday, either for muti killings, or much worse.

sad to deal with it, but what else can one do?

because her parents have money and media contacts.... I do personally think that the campaign hindered finding her alive.

Because her parents - mainly her mother - refused to go away quietly into the night. She has tried every possible avenue open to ordinary people to keep the investigation alive. She's either an incredibly capable manipulator and liar (if involved in her daughter's disappearance), or an incredibly heroic and resolute mother. We just can't say for sure.

makes sense, although one is sickened by the coverage given to ONE little gril, when thousands of others go missing without a whisper of their existence.
and all the weird and wonderful theories out there, are just crazy, all making the situation MUCh worse.

where is madelin today? maybe drinking tea with lord lucan or something like that.

Not trying to be argumentative or minimize any other children that have gone missing... but as a parent I would also leave no stone un-turned if one of my spawn went MIA.
Also - if by some miracle she ends up being found by the continued media coverage - it would be worth it in my opinion.
 
The parents had to do what they did to put the trail off them and onto someone/thing else.
I have watched many docs on this and also seen videos of them analysing body language when the parents are interviewed.They have said that they both exhibit weird behaviour and no emotions when responding to questions.

My theory is that the parents (who have a history of giving the children medicine to get them to sleep) gave Madeline an accidental overdose.There was never any evidence of forced entry into the flat.

Millions have been wasted looking for this girl.And to top it off the parents are profiting off their missing child :

Then there is something wrong with you - rather be sickened by the lack of coverage, withheld from the thousands, than by the extensive attempts to find a missing victim.

that as well, im sickened by the amount of coverage one little girl got, compared to other missing people, all around the world,
look now, almost 11 years have gone by and with everybody still looking all the media coverage has done nothing to find this little girl,

so you be the judge, was it worth publicizing the case, to find one little girl, or to draw attention to the other people who go missing everyday all over the world.
 
Hopefully someone will tell us curious without Netflix what the gist of the "expose" is ?
One only has to look at the SA case of missing girls to know that this is NOT an isolated event
Events that somehow are NEVER solved ?
TO all those that shout -- "tin-foil" perhaps you can explain this ...????
