Real Madrid upset over Man Utd's Huntelaar push

Manchester United have stunned Real Madrid by elbowing their way into negotiations for Ajax striker Klaas Jan Huntelaar.

Marca says United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has stepped in to disrupt Real's talks for the Holland international after going cold on Tottenham striker Dimitar Berbatov.

With both United and Real now battling for Huntelaar, Ajax are ready to sell with a genuine high priced auction looming.

What's wrong? :) Huntelaar would be better for the long run. DB can only play for about another 4 years tops. Huntelaar is said to have a deadlier strike and he is much younger.

Don't know, but I'd prefer someone younger. In a few years time, Huntelaar may very well be one of the top strikers in the world and I wouldn't want ManYoo to miss out on this.

As long as we get Berbatov as well I don't mind :)

Any two out of BBT, Huntelaar and Santa Cruz and that 18th title is ours. Are you watching, Liverpool? :D

You forgot this time Ronaldo is out for much longer = many more points on the line. If there is no striker by early next week, im not too sure about the 18th title :o

Waaaay too early to be writing anyone out of the title just yet. Don't forget how far ahead Arsenal were in February even, and we still caught them :)
 
I cant find much news on the Berbatov deal. All this hype - he had better live up to it when we finally sign him...

It was on Footy365 all day. We have put in a solid 25 mil bid...

And the manager wants him out. He wants out. The other players want him out.

He must come already!

Good game - Portsmouth not looking half bad as well - it will make the win that much sweeter...
 
It's about time we win properly at Fratton Park. I am sticking to 4-0 and am still awaiting that Tevez hattrick for my Fantasy team...But it would be nice if Rooney could score as well...
