I thought two yellows (or 5 accumulated) was one match and a direct red was 3 matches?

I thought only 5 accumulated is one match ban and a direct red is 3. I'm not actually sure. I heard on the radio that people were saying that he won't be playing in the Carling Cup tonight because of the ban.

Surely the ban only counts for the Prem? Would be awesome if he only had to miss tonight's game...
