Did you look at the goal? Neville crossed it to god knows where, luckily Tevez was there :p
 
Um, Im sure it was Berbatov who had a great first touch from Neville's cross, then Berbatov flicked it across goal to Tevez? Berbatov made a big difference when he came on :)

His performances are getting worse every week. All the whining and bitching is getting boring now.

"His recovering from an injury" that excuse will be used for the next 2 years+
 
ok ppl enough now, lets not over-exaggerate, true he not performing like last season , but he'll get there i think , he aint playing bad , its just the finishing thats lacking at the moment
 
Whose exaggerating? His performances have been poor so far. I think its cos the team is not playing like they did last year, setting him up. Also Rooney seems to be playing more for himself instead of Ronaldo.
 
eh? rooney playing for himself? I think rooney shoots when the shot should be taken and passes when necessary... problem is the quality of the crosses, the way united was playing yesterday they were almost at walking pace... not the usual tempo they play at but hey it was xmas recently :P
 
True we are not playing as well as we could be and Ronaldo certainly needs to up his game again. But when last did we concede a goal? And once we win our two home games in hand, we are only a point off the top.

If Park does not get dropped after last night's shambles then he never will. I don't care how much he runs around...:o

Rooney last season was more inclined to pass the ball than to actually shoot himself and only until this season has he actually taking opportunities.

He was heavily criticised in the media as a striker, as england needed a striker not a mid-field player.

The new form started during the england internationals and he has commented himself his happy with his scoring form.

Why would I need to point this out to a united "fan"?

Is this the first season you have been watching him play? How could you not have known that Rooney played more like a midfielder last season.

The joke on this forum last year was Rooney should change his position to a midfielder. Cos he was setting up most of Ronaldo's goals. Do you even support United?

Don't worry man. According to some people, strikers are never allowed to have assists. They are only there to score the goals, like in netball.

I agree with you about the lack of pace. Not playing the way we normally do and hence not scoring the goals we normally do.

Still, we are creating lots of chances which is good. And we haven't conceded a league goal in seven games, which is also pretty impressive.

Still going for 4 trophies, 2009 could be some year! :)

With the exception of that dreadful miss, he played a fantastic game. I value him in the team ATM.

So does Fergie apparently. I cannot see it at all to be honest. He gets himself in great positions and then does absolutely nothing with them. Like Andy Cole for a lot of the time before the 98/99 season.
