Torres has 34 goals,if he took penalties he would also have scored 40+ goals this season.and he had two injuries this season,ronaldo had zero.also this was torres 1St season in england,i think ronaldo scored 4 goals in his 1St season:)

Actually, he only has 30 goals for the season, according to http://soccernet.espn.go.com/players/stats?id=24257&cc=5901. If he wants to score from penalties, then they should give it to him. No sense speculating. Besides, he is an out-and-out striker. Ronaldo is a winger.
 
Sorry i made a mistake,torres actually has 33 goals in all competitions.He scored his 24Th league goal yesterday and broke RVD's record in the process.
I dont know how many of torres' goals were away from anfield ,but im sure you dont know how many of ronaldos goals were away from old toilet either,i dont see the point of that argument.
Anyways enjoy your title success and lets leave the Torres v Ronaldo debate for next season:)

Where are you getting your stats from? ESPN is extremely accurate and they say he has only scored 30 for the season - 24 in the EPL and 6 in the CL.

I get my stats from watching our matches and from www.thisisanfield.com ,where i do(Or did) the 2007-08 stat thread for our club.espn does not have the hat-trick he scored in the league cup against reading.
He was injured twice and i believe if he had an injury free season he would have scored 40+ goals aswell,but thats just my opinion

League cup? Seriously, that's not even worth mentioning.
 
cashmoney, seriously now, Torres could have scored a 1000 goals FFS, that still didnt make them EPL champions ok ?
 
The league cup counts,or at least goals scored in the league cup count.The only reason he played that ONE match in there was because he was recovering from a thigh injury.
Theres 4 competitions in England for top flight teams and they are The Premier League,The FA cup, The CL and the League cup.

Fair enough, but we don't usually look at that competition. We usually look at the main 3. I wonder if Ronaldo scored in the league cup?
 
Does it really matter if he is or not?this is what you do,how much did you pay for carrick,Ferdinand and Rooney?
