The manual is making a comeback

Enrico Galliera, Ferrari’s chief marketing and commercial officer, says it offered manual gearboxes up until the California: “The take rate was 0.001%.
Because the California was the ultimate back road, switch back car. The California was a show off car. They could've put your normal torque converter 4-speed auto in that and it would've still sold.

Nothing beats a good old fashioned 6-speed manual box.
I don't know, I rather like my 7 speed dual clutch transmission.. It works a dream, very fast shifts, even downsifts when needed.. And gosh it saves me doing by hand most of the time except when I want to change manually, and even then it handles 2 clutches very well..

Anyone who has driven the Toyota GD6 Auto (2016-2021) will understand.

I believe the gearboxes in the later GD6 models have been recalibrated.
Can't remember exactly which year it was recalibrated but after 2020 or thereabouts.
