The Mass Effect 3 thread

So I downloaded the demo of MS3 to see what the fuss is about. I've never played MS1 or MS2, and I honestly can't see myself playing MS3 as Origin lists it as being R550!?!?

I really don't see this game as great. It's okay, but for R550 I'd rather wait for Diable 3. Sorry :(

No problem the mass effect 2 only arrive on the 20th February though
 
How are you guys finding the multiplayer demo so far? It's only 2 maps but I'm addicted to it already :D Should keep me going until the game's release. The Firebase White map seems to be bugged though, I sometimes find myself running in the air and inbetween textures, so I have to quit the session. Very annoying if you're on the 10th wave just before extraction and you have to forfeit all that xp.

The other thing is that I always find these level 1 noobs playing the Silver and Gold challenges who are constantly dying. If it's not that then it's some knob who doesn't understand the importance of sticking together through each wave, and they run off to go kill the baddies on their own and end up dying. The one game it was just me and another level 18 guy and we cleared a Bronze challenge together, that was epic.
 
Ohhh...i so cant wait for the download to get done so i can give it a try...probably not the best on a 384kps line, but i just have to :)

A friend and I played the heck out of multiplayer this weekend. Can't say I've run into any map glitches yet.

Mainly been playing an Asari Adept (level 17 now I think), love hitting Phantoms with Stasis then beating the crap out of them :twisted:
My friend was playing soldier, frag grenade spam is ridiculously effective.

We then started new classes, myself as human vanguard, and him as engineer. Best we've managed so far is clearing bronze on both at level 6/7.
Combat drones make for awesome distractions, while I charge in and shotgun everyone.

Itching for some new maps though. I cannot wait for the full release.

Uh duh - the content is downloaded, but not the key. The store where you pre-order needs to have keys to give away. I asked TAKEALOT and Kalahari and they don't think so. BT Games - some stores say yes others no. So where should I place my pre-order to get it?
 
ah okay, well i would think it will come included in your box. if thats not the case then i dunno.

The DLC will be available as like how the previous one were with Mass Effect 2 via either Origin or Bioware site, obviously you need to register your game like you did with Mass Effect 2 to qualify for it.

I order the collectors edition :)

I'm talking about Pre-order DLC - which means you only get it if you pre-order. So it can not be in the box.

It can also not be on the site, because how will they know if you pre-ordered. The pre-order DLC is also not the same as the collectors edition DLC.

Mr Big Winky I too am addicted. I never thought that a Co-op only style multiplayer would appeal so greatly to me.
I'm hoping that playthrough was with me... Based on your second paragraph, there have been a few times when guys have gone gung-ho, died on the other side of the map early in the wave (I couldn't get to them in time) and subsequently quit..... Depending on the severity, it will normally leave 2 players and I or just me and a teamie.

That being said, I do venture on my own every now and then, but it's normally for flanking purposes.

PS the Carnifex pistol is super-duper-awesomeness.

I need to add some of you fella's so we can create some private local matches....

Finished my second playthrough of ME2 over the weekend as I lost my saved game. It was epicly fun and a great way to spend your weekend. There is nothing better than piloting commander Shep-ASSUMING DIRECT CONTROL

Busy with my 2nd play through as well. Making sure i do a lot more than i did before. Also enjoying like a mother trucker
