Massive' Gauteng Weather and Storm Warning

Was in Steelpoort for business since yesterday morning.

Just past Middelburg I drove into a proper downpour and thunderstorm yesterday morning at around 5am. R.I.P roads.

The whole of yesterday was misty with scattered, insignificant showers.
Actually pleasant for all the work and walking we had to do on the plants. Compared to the hellish hot weather I usually get there.

Had a decent sized thunderstorm pass over the guestlodge last night as well. Sat on the restaurant deck watching the lightning show with a decent amount of rain also falling. Goodness knows the area needs it. The Bush is bone dry over there.

This morning we had scattered rain most of the morning on the mines and when I headed back I started getting rain all the way back, up to Bronkhorstspruit. Potholes on the R555 already twice the size since yesterday.

Surprised when I arrived back home to find not even a hint of any moisture. Wife confirms 3 or 4 drops at most.

lol not a drop in garsfontein despite app promises, weirdly im actually really upset about it haha think i just really wished for the dust to settle a bit

I was caught in a "storm" this morning at our pick and pay in Lynnwood Ridge, so all your dust has settled on my car

Same :( but the rainy season is still about 20 days away. Then by the sounds of it we are going to have another good year of rain.

When it starts, it won't stop. And I'll be swearing you feckers. Just enjoy the sun for a bit longer...
dont worry ill also be swearing as too much rain brings up my usual drain issue with moreleta spruit that tshwane supposedly still doesnt have the money to fix

You guys are having an air show up there.

Hope the rain doesn't spoil it.
I flippen love the airshows at Waterkloof but I HATE the amount of dust in the air the event generates...I live across the road from the AFB and my sinuses have been in absolute overdrive during the past week or so! A spattering of evening thundershowers will be more than welcome :)
