The METAL Thread

Paradise Lost is the 1st metal band that I loved. When everybody was listening to Metallica Black and Thunderstruck, I was listening to Icon by Paradise Lost over and over. I had the Icon t-shirt and wore it every day. I had all the CDs from their 1st album up to the classic Draconian Times. After Draconian Times they sold out and I forgot about them. 2 Weeks ago I looked at what PL did and found this gem they made in 2016:

Yep, PL is all about pain and hurt. Maybe skip the official vids and just listen to this album. I did not expect PL to ever create something that could stand next to their old classic albums.
 
Ok, managed to snag a couple of tickets for £130 each instead of £260 for one. Sure, in the gods, but won’t be so bad because Metallica’s stage is in the middle of the London Stadium instead of on the far end. Will see Gojira open on the first day, and Pantera on the second, and it’s a “no repeat” show for Metallica, so will have a different set list each night.
 
Have to love songs with proper long intros (except my kids will ask me why they're not singing)
