Out of interest... who here actually plays an instrument?

I noticed this in high school first, but just about every metal head I know or have met has at some point taken up playing. There's just something about the music that makes one want to pick up an instrument and start jamming.

I started out on vocals, then onto bass, but have been drumming for a few years now (availability of equipment allowing). Never quite got the guitar thing, though.

There are little people that understand our love of metal, being speed, symphonic, dark, etc.
It is a acquired taste, not many understand or see how good it is, Just try and explain for instance, Slayer, Nightwish, Cradle, Avintasia, Ace, etc to your work mates. They just don't or would not understand the beauty of metal. I would rather do my Mech. Eng. Work Listening to Metal than anything else
