Yes! The latest album is a bit weak imo, but "Death Came Through a Phantom Ship" and "Where the Corpses Sink Forever" are some of my favourite black metal albums of all time!

I see them getting mentioned a lot on the Witchfest group on FB.

I tried a few songs - can't say that I enjoyed any of them.

Seem very much like the a new Cradle of Filth - the world really doesn't need that.

Really impressed - Arcturus are still doing an epic job.

It took me a few listens to appreciate the whole album. But songs like Crashland, Game Over & The Journey were instant favourites.

The song "Pale" has to be one of my top 5 of the year so far. I don't see it leaving that list anytime soon either. All in all, the new Arcturus is strong, and ICS Vortex is on top form with his vocals!

Lol, I never thought of Carach as the new Cradle, but now that you mention it, it's an accurate assessment. ;)

Thorns is amazing btw! I heard some of the new stuff a little while ago, and have completely forgotten to go back and check it out! Thanks for reminding me ;)

Not a huge fan of that - it's not terrible just nothing special - and the Deathcore elements tend to put me off competency.
