From a nu-metal fan....
Even though Disturbed, like many nu-metal bands have been partially classified as heavy metal, death metal, industrial metal, thrash metal, alternative metal, etc as well, they do seem to fit mostly in one genre more than the others. Disturbed I think leans more to Nu-Metal than the others.
Other nu-metal bands, like Fear Factory, are extremely difficult to classify in one genre as they have such a broad spectrum of sound that crosses multiple genres.
I think this Metal thread leans more to the classic heavy metal and melodic metal type genres - from the little time I've posted here. Nu-metal I know for sure is frowned upon here. LOL.
Not sure about Industrial Metal. Hmmm.... methinks I should start an Industrial / Industrial metal thread...
