The METAL Thread

So, I got bored, and decided to make a list of all the bands I can remember watching live (so far). There are a few I've seen more than once because they were either awesome the first time round, or they were touring again with other bands I wanted to see (Slayer, TBDM, Obituary, Lamb of God, to name a few). Cannibal Corpse and Ingested will be a repeat this Saturday, because they're touring with one of my favourite black metal bands, Dark Funeral, who I've been dying to see since I was a teenager. The list also includes a few non-metal acts who were those "I just have to see them live before I die" type of bands - others were just openers for aforementioned acts. Alphabetical, of course:

Curiously, I've yet to see bands beginning with the letters J, N and Q, and outliers like X, Y and Z.
Nice! Only one I've seen on that list is Amon Amarth. Walked out of that show with a broken pinkie finger and nose

If you ever get a chance, add powerwolf to that list. Seen them live twice and they're still hands down the best live show I've ever experienced.

Would have loved to see slayer and CoB but a death and a breakup ruined things. Have one of Alexis guitars on my wall at least

Probably one of the most interesting bands for me lately. Just a nice mix of genres and easy listening. Next album coming out in May.

It came out about 2 weeks ago but I've been listening to Ola Englund's The Chug Project the past few days while working - pretty solid.

This does not belong here, but am sure metalheads can appreciate the blinding guitar solo (about 2:18). The guitar solo everyone is talking about, lol:

I can't remember listening to Evile since... maybe 2015? But enjoyed this Metallica-y song:

Had the pleasure of finally seeing these guys a few weeks ago after a 30 year wait:
