The METAL Thread

Same! Also my top artist. Love Bad Omens and my top song for the year was Hedonist (recharged).

I need to check out their older albums, I only discovered them with most recent. But I really love the blend of different genres from this album, first song I heard, that completely hooked me, was What do you want from me?, absolutely love stuff like this:

Think we found them because of the same song  I'm using last.fm for a music competition with friends on Discord so can see my listening history.

Other songs are collabs so not on the list above but loved a few songs from Concrete Jungle (OST) - V.A.N with Poppy, Anything > Human with ERRA and then Hedonist (recharged) with Wargasm. Also recently started listening to Like a Villain. Probably need to listen to all their stuff!

Seems to be a few more people into alternative music in one of the UK threads busy discussing upcoming gigs we're going to. Remembered I had list of bands I've seen live while living in the UK and SA (yes, alphabetic, I'm autistic). There were a few non-alternative/metal shows that I removed for obvious reasons, and a handful where I didn't make it to the gig because I wasn't arsed or was sick (most notable is Sepultura - still on my to-do list).

I have learned to play Brave, Murder, Rainroom and Nowhere on my acoustic bass. Learning to play this music made me re-appreciate this classic piece of musical art. I plan to record this with me playing acoustic bass:

oh look we have a badass elitist who only listens to hardcore stuff and believes clean singing means its not metal.

take your gatekeeping a55 to reddit we dont need your kind here.

how do you know if something is metal or not?
what makes the opinion of one person more right than the opinion of anyone else?

its ok, one day you will understand what metal is. you will understand that the judgement was just the Swaad of the week.
