Watched 3rd degree tonight. Debora Patta interviewing Simba Makoni and IMO he sounds like a reincarnation of Mad Bob in his early years.

In fact I would not be surpised to learn that the reason Simba is "challenging" Bob is to ensure that Tswangerai cannot achieve the required 51% win he needs to be declared an outright winner, by splitting the opposition and thereby diluting it. Bob may be mad but perhaps not as stupid as he looks. Just another precaution on Bob's part, in case the rigged elections don't go quite according to plan for some reason.

Any thoughts?

My prediction?

Uncle Bob wins with an outright majority.
Sad,but TIA.

Agreed.
Two reasons:
1) Those people who would have voted against him have mostly already left Zim
2) He has already filled in the X next to his name on the "real" ballots. He just needs the populace to put their X on the fake ones.

nope I think Marconi is going to win, no one could be as bad as Bob, he is in a class of his own, he has set the benchmark for incompetant governance...

I can't see Mugabe handing over power yet....

One thing though, he really isn't as stupid as he looks... He is actually quite smart... most dictators are :(
