With the pathetic excuse for the software that runs on the PVR, I doubt that we'll get that level of user experience that say Tivo offers on the Dstv PVR. I don't know, but their developers and software engineers need a huge lesson on set-top box software design, user experience and development and what us as consumers really want.
VOD on the PVR is a step forward for Multichoice and from what I've heard, those that were fortunate enough to download the beta firmware for testing VOD, are very happy with it.
But if they want to venture into niche content and we all know that a lot of niche content today is user created content like video and audio podcasts, then they still have a long way to go.
I just hope that the HD PVR, which is rumoured to be due in June/July is going to live up to the hype.
