Just saw the first episode, I am hooked.

Looks like is going to a great one to follow.

From IMDB:
Naz is a straight-laced Pakistani-American student who is off to a must-attend party on a Friday night. His only available transportation being his father's taxi cab, Naz sets off into Manhattan. But his party-going plans are quickly forgotten when a mysterious young woman jumps aboard in need of a ride. Charmed by her intense intrigue and good looks, Naz gets swept up by her pressures. After a mind-altering night of drugs and passion, the woman is dead, and Naz finds himself in the cross hairs of a gruesome murder investigation, panicked and shaken, but possibly with a trace of doubt as to his own innocence.

Anybody else following?

Jip. Up to episode 5 now, watching on DSTV Catch-up.
The thing that keeps me hooked is not the story so much (but it is good, no mistake), more the depressing beauty conveyed in every location and scene. New York in this series is more Gotham than "Gotham".

Edit: Let's rather say more subtly realistic Gotham than "Gotham"

I only watched the first episode, I really enjoyed the way it was shot.

But damn, I jus kept on shaking my head, error after error after error. The dude just kept on digging his hole deeper and deeper. It was painful.

Great show though, off to a cracking start.

Keep watching. I don't want to give away spoilers but his digging doesn't end in the first episode ;)

Good observation and throw in some Oz and you've got this.

It's the ambiguity of whether he did it or not that's starting to kick in now.

One of the best new shows in 2016.

FYI.

On September 19, 2012, it was announced that HBO had ordered a pilot based on the British television series Criminal Justice. James Gandolfini was set to star, Richard Price would write the project, and Steven Zaillian would direct. On February 19, 2013, HBO passed on the project. However, on May 13, 2013, HBO reversed course, picking up Criminal Justice as a seven-part limited series. After Gandolfini's death on June 19, 2013, it was reported that the miniseries would move forward in his honor, and that Robert De Niro was set to replace Gandolfini. On April 21, 2014, John Turturro replaced De Niro due to scheduling conflicts. On March 11, 2016, it was announced that the project would premiere in the middle of 2016 under the title The Night Of. Gandolfini retains a posthumous executive producer credit.

watched all 7 episodes so far. Just the final to come next week.

Its a great show, however episode 1 was really the one that set this show apart, and I think all the subsequent episodes were not as great.

I enjoy the sub plots, the cat, the eczema, the issue with the taxi and the profound impact one case is having on so many lives, not just the life of the suspect himself.

Quite a gripping show. Keen to see how it ends now.

All 8 epi's done & dusted. Really enjoyed it...it "flowed" really well & sub-plots were good as well. Definitely a miniseries worth recommending to others.

John Turturro was on the ball & breakout roll from Riz Ahmed (I know him from Nightcrawler; the weird dude).

Prisoner Freddy by MKW....top stuff...

Crazy high rating for the (90 min) finale

I did not know the last episode was 90min, after 60min I kept waiting for the episode to end....

Riz reminded me of Walter White, the character development, where Riz started and where he ended.

Very good series. Would recommend to anyone. Next up, MR Robot.
