Liberty Walk has correctly surmised that what the V6, rear-drive Nissan 400Z needs is a large dose of 'angry'.

A very large dose, because it’s taken an almost factory-fresh example and subjected it to a savage ‘Works’ body kit. LW has bolted on a new set of diffusers, a slanted ducktail rear wing and flared the wheel arches and bonnet to such an extent you’d think they’d pulled some teeth out.

That body now sits atop independent air suspension, with a few other tasteful additions by way of sharper light signatures, 18in deep dish alloys and aftermarket exhausts with variable valves. Finished in a glossy shade of pure black, Liberty Walk’s take on the Z is nothing short of menacing.

LW hasn’t messed with the cabin, so the original 8in infotainment screen, 12.3in driver’s display and eight-speaker Bose audio system are left as Nissan intended. As standard, the Z gets plenty of creature comforts too, like heated seats, parking sensors and a Wi-fi hotspot to work alongside smartphone connectivity. It means you can play Tokyo Drift by Teriyaki Boyz on a constant, uninterrupted loop.
