I am all for making a profit but that is just insane I can import it for over R1750 cheaper with shipping.

Generally those online companies you see on the internet like Wootware, don't just import their product from Amazon.com or Newegg, they get their products from a local distributor like Rectron. The guys at the local distributor imports the goods and sell it with their mark-up to the retailers. The retailers then sell the card to the customer with their mark-up added. Thus their price, caters for all the trouble that the distributors have gone through plus the distributor's mark-up and their own mark-up.
 
maybe we should wait for the gtx 670 or so. price will drop in a month or 2
