Heck, I almost gave in to the temptation to buy a computerised Celestron 5" 130 SLT scope as a grab n go scope.

Still thinking about it. Will have to do some research to see if it's worth it. Costs R5400 - almost the same as my 10"

I'd get a 120/127 referactor as my next scope, purely for the portability.

Well the 130 slt is very portable. Saw it in a shop and its small and not heavy. The goto would be a blessing for tracking down hard to find objects, but two scopes would be an absolute luxury...

:D Thought so.. I'm in the same boat now about if I should buy the camera I want now.. or wait for my wife to pick it up in NY from B&H in 2 months time???

If you don't have your own telescope and still want to see really faint galaxies and also help advance science go and have a look at www.galaxyzoo.org

For those me you with cloudless skies should remember the partial lunar eclipse tonight at around 21:30 (if I remember correctly).
