Nah, I was thinking more about the size. When my XT10 arrived the size of the boxes blew me away... And then I got to the scope!

Hehehe, i am, aware of the shipping weight, around 35kgs :p
Going to pick it up tomorrow or sat. Unfortunately i can't teleport it to my house :o

:erm: and here i was thinking that the weight/dimensions would be the biggest issue.
Am i going to require a degree to set it up?

Nope. The mount is easy to set up. Just requires a little time. Just a few nuts and bolts that need to be mounted etc... ;)
 
Relatively easy to assemble so shouldn't be a problem there. Just remember photos don't do it justice at all! ;)

So been doing quite a bit of research around my next eyepiece or eyepiece kit and noticed these beauties are available locally for around R1600 a piece:

Read a few user reviews and some magazine articles and they seem to be good bang for the buck. Anyone used them before?
 
I should truly stop my window shopping. As soon as I decided on what eyepiece I want next I see something else and end up never buying anything. :confused:

The Williams Optics UWAN range seems to be the one that I however keep coming back to. That 4mm 1.25" looks so tempting.

Should I buy locally with inflated price or buy international to see if I can reduce the price? Stupid duties and VAT will screw me most likely.

I have the Willams Optics 4mm UWAN. It's awesome :D
 
Best way to import is wait around until you have friends or family going oversea's and then get it dropped off were ever they are staying. Or if you have friends who stay there, get it sent to them and get them to ship it as a gift or something.

I got a lot of my stuff from B&H which I got my wife to pick up when she was in NY.

Worst thing I ever did was buy a 2" EP, Now I want to upgrade all of mine to 2" :(
