The official Battlefield 4 thread

I tried playing last night, but my frame rate was below 1fpm. Yes frame per minute. Even on single player. Updated gfx drivers again, and now its good. Drivers were the ones I installed for the Beta.
 
What is the size of the BF4 community in SA?
100's,1000's?
 
Had boatloads of fun tonight. almost zero lag no crashes excellent gfx. Will play again tomorrow - need sleep.

If Battlefield 3 is anything to go by it should be 1000s.
In competitive alone(DGL) there was more than 500 players for the entire 2 years of Battlefield 3.
 
Anyone know why there's no big servers in SA? Biggest I see is the [grrr]Squad 40man server, where's the 64mans?!

Probably because hardware they run on is insufficient for 64 players.

There were tons of 64 player BF3 servers..

I don't see any mweb/saix servers up yet, and only one WAGE. So hopefully by tonight we'll see a few 64's pop up..
 
Any one install from disc yet? Anything to download after the installation from the discs? If there is, how big is the download?

Try setting your default browser to Chrome. IE 11 didnt like the launcher much on mine...
 
Think I might just spectate tonight with red wine and pick up some tips and get to know the maps ...

There are more coming up: at the moment there are 2 x JHB and 1 x CPT. If you have comments or suggestions, please place them here. http://forums.mweb.co.za/viewtopic.php?f=123&t=4762&p=14491#p14490

At the moment the servers are running in "official" mode, but we are open to customise them when the players know the maps and mode structures that they like

The servers also show up as 62 players, because there are 2 reserved slots for commanders.
 
Discs just arrived :D off to go pick them up :D

Time to try out my 5.1 headphones for real now ;)
 
Let me know how you experience the game. It is completely unplayable for me. CTD in campaign mode and server crashes in every single game and room.

Im just finding the servers to be VERY laggy atm. My latency is fine, but boy the rubberbanding xD
