The official Battlefield 4 thread

Anyone know how to patch BF4 on multiple PC's? I need to download the latest patch this evening and want to avoid having to download the same for a second PC, also at home. Being on a mobile connection makes it invaluable to save data :)

I tried to do it once by copying the new files over to the 2nd pc but origin still insisted on downloading the patch again.

Just copy the BF4 update folder of the first pc to the others...that's what I used to do with BF3, haven't checked my BF4 yet.

1. Start Origin on the 2nd pc and let it start the download of the patches (Only to create the folders etc)
2. Close Origin.
3. Copy the Battlefield folder from the updated pc to the second pc.
4. Start origin on the 2nd pc.
5. The update should go from 0-100% and complete.

Thank you very much! Will give it a shot tonight :D

Can one play BF4 multiplayer via wifi, with no problems / equally good connectivity? My PS4 is 1.5m from the router, so it is has 100% wifi connection?

Thanks!

Are there any South African PS4 servers? I can't find any... What is thr best way to connect to a good game?

Thanks for any advice!

I'm not sure how the PS4 interface looks but on PC you can filter out all the SA servers. Have you tried that?

Otherwise if there aren't any then best is to just sort by the lowest ping and see if you get decent gameplay

So I've been struggling to find SA servers playing china rising (CR) - and started playing on German servers (ping 180).
2 things I noticed:
- the maps load faster than playing on local servers (any maps, game modes)
- I play lag free! no rubber banding or lag?

From my perspective the game experience is fantastic - only drawback is not all the german servers allow pings of 150+; but even so there are enough servers to play CR on

well considering it isn't technically available yet, it is actually a good sign...

means the servers can still be populated by normal players as well

Managed to play the whole night last night without any crashes, until siege of shangai came up, then bam!

Def something wrong with that map...

I always get sound loop crashes on that map and then only sometimes on dawnbreaker. DICE should seriously have a look at those maps.

So has anyone here with premium had crashes on any of the china rising maps?

hmmm i cant find any servers this morning :{

same here. there was an update, i installed and no african servers since. either a bug or africa's still upgrading their servers or something.

only got the game on saturday so not up to date with the bf4-verse :o
