The official Battlefield 4 thread

Is there anything wrong with this game atm ?

I have never been one with any significant skill level in fps, but in BF2/3 with some determination and some organised play I've always managed to win a round here and there and sometimes even end up in the top5 with capping flags etc.

In BF4 I am constantly getting raped. Assault and engineer okes killing me from halfway across the map with their sub machine guns in, firing in short bursts. I know in BF3 I came out top in about 2/10 head to head encounters with another player, but in BF4 I'm just ****ed up before I can even aim in the other dude's general direction.

As for losing literally every single round, I suppose that might just be bad luck, but geez man...

I feel your pain dude. I can pump 3 rounds into someone's head and then turn around and one shot me

Sigh ... this has been happening so much to me its not even funny .... i once shot someone 4 times in the head with a
sniper rif and he managed to reload his pistol and kill me after being shot!
 
yep, this is by far the worst part about the game... for me

that same inconsistency from BF3, where one round you could own the guys, but then the next round you suck so bad

not because you actually suck, but because the game dynamics 'changed' and you just can't hit squat

however it does seem like the weapon dynamics make quite a difference, because most, if not all the time, my encounter 1v1 with someone with one of the ACE guns, kicks my ass... no matter that I emptied about a full clip with the guy standing like 4ft away from me
 
I actually find it easier to kill okes in BF4 and am doing better.. If its 1 on 1 I usually win whereas in BF3 it would be 50/50.

Half the time I am killed without seing the enemy though.. or my personal favourite, walk into a full enemy squad :o

kinda makes you feel like a storm trooper ... empty a full clip and the oke is still standing reloading and kills u!

don't you hate those moments :(

I guess though it also doesn't help that I am RAMBO most of the time, but teamplay just isn't what it was in BF2.

I also hate where you are firing at a guy, hitting him and yet firing back it is as if he has no 'suppression' at all...

yet when I get shot it is like I am firing a machine spraying all over the place, battling to keep my aim on the person.

even seeing the animation of the character being hit and 'waving' the gun.

a question for the more 'informed' guys that play: those OFFENSIVE/DEFENSIVE things you unlock, do they actually only work when squad based? cause that is pretty lame if you ask me. in BF3 it was nice that you had those perks that could also just 'improve' you as a single soldier and as said, teamplay just isn't what it used to be so I find myself lone wolf most of the time.

Maybe it's just my imagination but some of the new maps definitely look better for eg. Guilin peaks (spelling?) really makes you feel like you in a jungle :)
 
Have any of you guys been unfairly banned off a server ?
I was playing the noob server the other night, and was kicked/banned for apparent hacking :twisted:
What a crock of nonsense.

I got banned off a server called Little Battles because I killed the admin using the Little Bird. I had the cannons on and was accused of hacking.

Was pathetic. I stick away from most private servers like that.

lol, well I must have killed the wrong person, from the tank I was occupying at the time of my permanent ban :D
