Hung it late last night. Nervous as I dont know if I've got too much spice or not enough....time will tell I guess.

Can someone reccomend a few places in Northern Jhb to buy silverside for a good price?

Edit: built "die vleis das kas" from an old server case a few years ago. It's time to get her started up again.

The upgrade. Added inlet fans on the sides. Moved bulb to the bottom and turned top fan into exhaust sucking out.

you arent concerned that the bulb will become an absolute mess and possibly smoke from the residue on it? is that an incandescent bulb?
 
Instead of a light, I use one of those heaters that are used in snake and exotic lizard cages. It's just hanging against the back wall of the box. The outer facing is aluminium so it's very easy to clean, even though it is out of the way of debris falling from the meat. Works great and lasts like forever...
 
That's got me thinking. I have a spare 50W reptile light that I need to get rid of. Maybe I should peddle it to one of you okes here:unsure:
 
Please don't mock my infinitesimal contribution to this thread. Not a huge biltong eater (I have a mean sweet tooth).

These guys are ok, I prefer Breys more.

Gee, no thanks. 14gm for R8,05, and it looks more like a hondedrol than biltong.
