Today I got my BlackBerry 9900, and I must say I am REALLY impressed its much more than I ever expected, I wanted to make this thread for when more people get the phone and so that we can discuss Problems, Reviews, Accessories, Prices, Apps etc... I must say that I posted this off my 9900 ;)

Hey dude. Congrats on the new phone. How's the new OS? Any better than the previous OS? Also how you finding the touch screen? I can imagine you still getting used to it however it would be awesome to hear your thoughts on the new OS.
 
Thanks man! :) yes the O.S. feels more "sturdy" in a way it doesn't lag at all and it is super fast when entering and exiting applications... the internet browser has a slight different look and instead of the loading indicator being at the bottom it is now at the top under the address bar :) the touch screen is super responsive (i really like that) 0 anything else you wanna know :)
 
That sounds awesome. Those were my main concerns because I REALLY want to get myself one. However RIM's recent hiccups have made me a bit 2-minded about getting one but having read this and other positive reviews I am definitely gonna get myself one. Thanks alot dude. Really appreciate what you doing here.
 
I'd like to know what are you comparing it to, ie, what was your previous phone ? Is screen quality better ?
Don't you feel the screen would be better had it been bigger ?
 
R7000 is not a realistic price for a Bold. Consumers don't even appreciate such a price tag on a 10" super spec tablet anymore so why demand that much for a phone? Is it RIM or Vodacom thats gone mad here?

We all know a QNX Berry is coming soon, and there will be a Bold version too. Would a more competitive price in a very competitive market not have made more sense considering the remaining (very brief) life-span of the old OS? Developers are waiting for QNX so OS7 will not see many new apps. I really struggle to understand/appreciate what is going on here.

had the torch, screen MUCH more responsive :D and a better keyboard

Well its kind of like buying the iphone 4 when the iphone is so close i guess...
