Well I eventually got some time off and decided to get stuck into the mini. My son said the brakes need some attention as his foot goes to the floor.
So the plan was to jack the old lady up, drain the brakes, check the pads (front) and the drums (back). Well she hadn't been started in a while as I have been away for 6 weeks and now she will not start. Firstly it was noted that there is very little juice in the tank so I drove around looking for some LRP (There is none to be found). So I opted for some 93 and some valve guard. Anyway, I got back home with all the makings of a petrol bomb and my son shows me the oil dipstick ... The oil its white and cloudy ...![]()
And that's where I have stopped. Next week it will be me under the bonnet to determine the cause and do some remedial work (including the brakes).
I purchased the old lady a cover as she stands outside and have put her to bed until next week.
Eish... creamy mocha mess in the tappet cover too? Coolant leaking into the system. Sounds like a blown head gasket. Damn...![]()
Not sure, I've been a bit limited to time this week (The Bosslady regards time off as fix this and that time). I will have a good poke under the hood next week.
Likes the way you think. Thats sure to keep her happy. Maybe she'll relax then and let you work on the car?
