You want this twin-Yamaha-engined, hugely modified classic Mini

If Scrappy Doo were a car, he’d probably look something like this

This is a small, humble car. It started its little life back in 1990, where it was christened a Rover Mini, bestowed with the Mayfair spec and sent off to wow the world with its diminutive proportions and everlasting appeal.

Some 13 years later, a tuning outfit called Z-Cars in the UK decided it was to be humble no more, ripped out the Mini’s guts, and inserted a pair of Yamaha R1 engines in the back. Welcome to the ‘Twini’, and yes, you want it.

Because not only was it given a pair of rev-happy motorbike engines, Z-Cars also gave it matching six-speed sequential gearboxes, a limited slip diff, tubular subframes front and back, a roll cage, carbon fibre and fibreglass body panels and lovely little 13in wheels.

Actually, Z-Cars gave it more. Like four-into-one manifolds, disc brakes all round, adjustable coilovers, racing clutches, Cobra bucket seats and a Sparco steering wheel, a MoTeC digital cluster and even five-point harnesses courtesy of Sabelt. If Scrappy Doo were personified as a car, he’d look something like this.

Go to any WeBuyCars and see the amount of Mini's available at ridiculous low prices. Then you will know to stay far away from them. They are relative "luxury" cars yet Swifts. Polos etc that are older with more kms sell for more.
