The Official EPL 2011/12 Thread

Brilliant strike from about 30m out. Set move from corner on the right. Ball straight to Barry. One touch to control and then a great strike into top right corner.

*Goes to check it out on soccerclips.net* :D

Wow, great strike.

EDIT: Just saw Klasnic's strike now. Even better.

the first two goals were both goalkeeping errors... also gotta blame the defence as well no one close Silva or Barry down at all

Turning point was Lennon's shocking cross straight into Evans' body at 0-0. If he played a simple ball back to Van der Vaart, it could have been a totally different game. After that ManU slaughtered them. 2nd youngest ManU team ever to play in the EPL and their pace was too much for Spurs.

Lennon was bad the entire night. How he touched it out for a goal kick I'll never understand. The turning point for me was Defore hitting the bar with an open goal. That would've equalised and United would've had to sit deeper.

The question for Spurs now is, who do they prefer in goal now? Gomes or Friedel? Friedel was outstanding tonight, made some superb stops.

Lennon is rubbish. One of the fastest players in the EPL but once he beats his man, he has no idea what to do.

Great game for the youngsters. Pity Cleverley didn't score.

It's obvious Sp*rs went there fully expecting to lose the game. A draw would have been bonus! I think the attitude of most English born coaches is you can't win at Old Trafford and it doesn't matter if United put out a team of crippled midgets.

I dunno hey I think they spent too much energy killing off Hearts to have any left against United, they looked exhausted trying to break down United's young defence.

I thought Friedal was Tottenham's best player...

Friedel will always be the best player whenever he plays (for whichever team) against United!!

Nasri had 5 assists in his 3 seasons at Arsenal.

Today he had 3 assists with 20min left in the match on his debut for man city.

Arshavin shouldn't be on the field.

3-1 mauling so far.
