The Official EPL 2011/12 Thread

I'm saying one match is all it takes for one team to leap ahead ITO GF and GA. I know it's the rules and I accept it. I just have trouble with it at times. ATM, City GD = 8 > Man Utd.

What else would you like tho? It's either that or head-head that is the best option and either way United lose.

Come on Liverpool! Please win a home game. DO IT FOR ME!

THE LIVERPOOL GODS HAVE ANSWERED MY CRY!

Next season you should have that desperate plea before each home game...seems to have done the trick tonight :p

Definitely :D

I'll take the credit from here lads.

You're like a football seer. Please lend QPR your full support...

Are you mad? :D

Man City all the way mate!

anyone could have guess that Pool would win... what's more important? CL final Win or possible 4th/5th place?

CL Final win. However if they lose the final, they won't be in the champions league at all, whereas if they had played strong sides against Newcastle and Liverpool they'd still have a chance of playing in the champions league next season regardless of what happens. Now they have to win it, to play in it.

but that was most likely Di Matteo's plan, I would have also done the same in that position, give the fringe players a chance to prove themselves for next season and gang hoe for the CL and FA Cup

Just seems a bit irresponsible to put all their eggs in one basket. :D

Well some players had been playing so many times in a short period of time, so he ahd to give people breaks... but yeah he was probably going for a CL win, he should've also gone for a Newcastle win, that would've helped immensely.
Big ask and task for Chelsea to beat Bayern at Bayern

I think the players needed a rest as well, Chelsea have played a lot of games in a short space of time.something Newcastle and Liverpool never had to deal with. Their players look lethargic, the last 30 min in the final they also ran out of steam. I just don't think they can go all out for everything. They are having a fairly successful season considering where they were.

So Blackpool and West Ham will play for the last promotion spot. Who do you guys prefer being promoted?

I would like to see Blackpool again, it will mean one less London Derby. Holloway has some entertaining post match interviews as well. :D

West Ham all the way.
Then just for Millwall to make it up, thats action football. :D

Prefer Blackpool but feel for long suffering West Ham supporters. Pity both couldn't go up along with Southampton
