Would a que even be necessary for me with a 800Mb's down / 100Mbs up lol

It really depends. As a business? Absolutely. Home user? I think it may be an exercise in futilityWould a que even be necessary for me with a 800Mb's down / 100Mbs up lol
The bigger question would be can your mikrotik do 800mbit with fasttrack disabled, which would be required for queuesWould a que even be necessary for me with a 800Mb's down / 100Mbs up lol
Solid question, I have a RB2011UiAS-2HnDThe bigger question would be can your mikrotik do 800mbit with fasttrack disabled, which would be required for queues
At high speeds the cpu starts to limit the effectiveness
I was thinking of a way to run uploads through a seperate router that could have queues, while downloads run through the main router with fastrack enabled (queuing download is pointless unless you limit to below your line speed)
Is that the one where even ports go to one CPU, and odd ports to the other? I think I recall something similar2011 without fasttrack caps out around 280Mbps on Queues if memory serves (there's an odd CPU pathing issue where it only uses a single core unless you re-wire the network switching as it's wired 5ports to a core or something)
Similar,see the image posted earlierIs that the one where even ports go to one CPU, and odd ports to the other? I think I recall something similar
That’s the one I was thinking of!Similar,see the image posted earlier
It works fine on WebSquad on 7.1.5 using their guide https://mybroadband.co.za/forum/threads/web-squad-isp.1007232/page-197#post-25774445Has anybody managed to get IPV6 working on Router OS 7 - 7.2rc5 yet? Trying to troubleshoot since it can be a ton of different things, but can't seem to figure it out without going nuts with OS7 bugs![]()
Update to 7.2 stable anyway but dont think thats your issue as there was not much difference between 7.1 and 7.2 before on ipv6Has anybody managed to get IPV6 working on Router OS 7 - 7.2rc5 yet? I see 7.2 stable dropped today. Time to go update.Update to 7.2 stable anyway but dont think thats your issue as there was not much difference between 7.1 and 7.2 before on ipv6
*) ipv6 - do not add duplicate dynamic prefix when static already exists;
*) ipv6 - fixed "retransmissit-interval" unit value;
*) ipv6 - fixed VLAN tagged PPPoE packet receiving on RB5009;
On Router OS 7 IPv6 is disabled by default. You need to go IPv6 -> Settings -> Untick "disable ipv6"Has anybody managed to get IPV6 working on Router OS 7 - 7.2rc5 yet? Thanks for the notice, will mess around more with it.I see 7.2 stable dropped today. Time to go update.
I wonder if this fixes the hard drive mounting issue. At the moment, if you mount a hard drive to a Mikrotik and share it, the amount of freespace reported by the router is all wrong.RouterOS 7.2.1 is out, released 13 April 2022:
Only one small change mentioned in the changelog:
What's new in 7.2.1 (2022-Apr-13 09:01):
*) filesystem - improved long-term filesystem stability and data integrity;
Would a que even be necessary for me with a 800Mb's down / 100Mbs up lol
Quoting myself here but I recall a while back I saw a diagram of a router where even ports have one lane, and odd ports have another lane. I found it. It was the RB750Gr3:That’s the one I was thinking of!![]()
