Went to Ottery Hypermarket today and got a DS lite starter pack(console and extra stylus) including brain training for R600.

Happy as a pig in $hi*.
 
Got my 3DS on Saturday... \:D/

Awesome little thingy, loving it so far...
3D is awesome but kinda makes your eyes eina if your not sitting right. But the 3D don't make the 3DS, I just think DS with better graphics gogogo :P

I almost gave up on console gaming.

Until i went back to basics with DS.

I really want a 3DS and will patiently wait for that price to slip a little lower...

:cry: anyone know where else I can get a ds lite... went to ottery hypermarket today and they're not selling lites anymore so they told me try Makro and they said the same thing.

Tried looking at 2nd hand ones but most people are selling for XL prices:sick:

Incredible connection has a cyber sale and you can get a brand new DS Lite at R1000(pick your colour).

The offer is valid until April 3.

Its not as cheap but i would have loved an aqua blue model*drools*

I am really stoked about this cheap DS Lite.:love:
The battery life puts the little console in a league of its own.

The last time i owned the console i never had ASDL so imagine the joy of playing Mario Kart against regional and international players.

I have had a few epic battles!

Please guys get playing as i need a challenge!(Hackers will burn in hell!!!!):D

You are never to old to enjoy a nice and nasty bit of Mario Kart DS whoop @$$.
The online multiplayer is still thriving, its just those darn cheaters!
 
It is my first handheld too! So I am really enjoying all the older titles. What sort of games do you enjoy?

I have Animal Crossing (SHUSH!!!):erm: I cant wait for the 3DS one though... I am an AC fan, and getting into bed and playing from there was the best thing ever :D

I bought Rayman 3D so I had a 3D title. It was fun for me since I had never played Rayman before. I am about 80% of the way, it suddenly got really tough!! It could have been a longer game in my opinion. I find all Nintendo DS games very overpriced. :(

I got Kingdom hearts recoded - LOVING this!!! I play KH1 YEARS ago :) I want to get KH 358/2 (or whatever it is called) as well. I see there are plenty of Final Fantasy titles available too. I played FF for about 5 minutes, but I enjoyed it.

I got super scribblenauts - very different and I am enjoying it, but I would get one second hand if you really want it. It's a creative puzzle game. Gets pretty difficult later on too.

I played professor layton on my PC (nds file :whistle:) and loved it!! But I cannot cannt find my way to paying R500 for the next one, even though it is right up there with my favourite games. I have held it in my hand so often, but put it back every time. :erm:

I also played Spyro on my wii, and have ordered this. It was only R128 and I want to build up a good collection.'

I WISH that Donkey Kong Country Returns 2 (or something) would come out on the DS. That is by far the best game I have ever played.

I have played Mario Kart on the wii, and imagine it would be loads of fun on the DS too.

If these games seem silly to you I am sorry. I a lot of 'hardcore' gamers don't consider these titles important.

I CANNOT WAIT (Sorry for Caps, but I am REALLY excited) to download DK Jr from the Game and Watch Series. I will throw a MAJOR tantrum if it's not available on the 3DS with the upgrade. Hahaha.

Question : What is a *J*RPG?
 
3DS update is out. But you have to say that your region is UK. I haven't installed yet, I was hoping for an SA region to select. I want to pay for stuff in Rands.
 
Bought a 3DS recently. Only have one game, and looking to get some more. Any recommendations on what is hot?

I changed my region to Australia now everything is in AUS Dollars... UK will work as well but it seems more expensive in pounds
