Ok so i have downloaded and installed the latest build of windows 7 i must say i flippin love windows 7, i liked vista but i love windows 7

One thing is programs open what seems twice as fast than vista and even xp. The whole system is very fast, infact i have not worked on a windows OS this fast before. The new task bar is amazing, even though it looks alot like mac who cares i love it.

The sticky notes are a very cool feature which i am loving. I never thought i would enjoy windows 7 because it seems like a vista clone but its alot like vista but very different in so many ways. I love how you can put 2 windows side by side, means i can get rid of my dual monitor setup as i do not need it anymore. I can compare my 2 artwork files on one monitor now with ease.

I LOVE WINDOWS 7

What u think the recommended minimum system specs would be to run it smoothly?

dude u r late, search the forum before making 'rocks' threads lol :p

Damn my first something rocks thread and there is already another one :(, hmmm cannot find another official windows 7 rocks thread :p

Mrg i would have to say any dual core with 2gb of memory should run really well.

Been using Windows 7 for ages (search for my screenshots) at the moment currently getting hold of build 7048, looking forward to that!

O no bwana for sure they are, this OS is so fast it will no doubt be netbook ready and i think that why is MS is pushing this OS out so fast.

I hope so because I've been having constant problems so far.

A standard install of Windows 7 I doubt will run properly. However if you remove the non needed features and disable system services that you do not need.

Then I am sure it will manage to run on it.

So the Netbook version is different to the desktop version?

Is that the same with the current XP on Netbook / desktop?

It would surely have to be! If one ran the full blown Windows 7 on a Netbook:eek:

It would not be fast at all. That is why either there must be a Netbook friendly edition or tweak it for yourself!
