The Official Xiaomi Thread

Awesome, I'm hyper excited for the phone! Seems the Hong Kong warehouse already packaged the phone, but China hasn't even started.

You didn't get any screen protector? Have you dropped the phone at all? Unfortunately I've got a history with cracked screens, haven't done so for a while, but rather safe than sorry. Would MiA do any repairs etc (most likely wouldn't cover the warranty, but if paid)?

Unfortunately I missed out on the price - I was considering buying at the reduced price but didn't make up my mind in time, an 8% off coupon also expired before I could use it, nevertheless, the Dollar is weak atm which means it wasn't a huge premium.

I actually saw your post suggesting that ring which is why I bought it also not sure if I'd use it, but that's what you also thought :crylaugh:. I just hope the mount will be able to hold the phone steady, then again with my driving the mount might not be the issue.
Here is an alternative to the Chinese online stores. Souq.com is in Dubai

A friend of mine works there and told me everything he ordered from them was allways delivered same day

I transfered money to him and he got the Mi Max 2 plus cover delivered same day - now I must wait till the weekend when he arrives

https://uae.souq.com/ae-en/xiaomi-m...matte-black-international-version-23265641/i/

UAD 859 = R2,836 when bought

So if you have family or friends in that region - let them bring your gift - no extra fees ;-)

I received an update on my Redmi Note 4 last night. It failed a few times but eventually downloaded this morning before work.

MIUI 9.2.1.0 is now running but I can't see any changes besides activity arrows on the WiFi icon up on top, the About Phone menu is now at the top of the Settings menu and there's a new menu if you swipe right from your homescreen with all sorts of widgets and things

Discovered this thread this morning :D

I have a Mi Max, obtained February 2017 via Afrihost, updated to Stock ROM MIUI 9.2.1.0 over the weekend. I use Nova Launcher.

Been contemplating if I should unlock and try Oreo 8 or not ;)

I think you should contemplate getting the Mi Max 2 rather...or wait a few months for the Mi Max 3 which will reportedly have the edge to edge display !

Received the MIUI9 update on the Redmi Note 2 today. The phone runs much smoother than the previous 8.5 update. This should probably be the last MIUI update for the Note 2.

Still nada for Note 3 Kate

At this rate my Mi A1 will arrive and I'll sell my Note 3 before Miui 9 becomes available OTA

9.2.3.0 now being downloaded on Xiaomi redmi4x

Can you test if the Google app is reading out answers?

On my Redmi4A, or any other Android device if you use voice search and ask "What time is it", Google will read out the time.

After the MIUI 9 update, this no longer works :(

Same on mine although the settings are correct.

You can now block internet access to individual apps from app settings.
