Even if so, there's always the custom ROM community to rely on if they happen to interfere

The issue with huawei is that they manufacture and supply networking and switching equipment.
Xiaomi doesnt really play in that space.

Victim of the 'Donald'. Factory resetted my one Huawei device, cannot reinstall some apps (which was working previously).
Bah. Not happy.
My Xiaomi device had its first factory reset recently, all is well except for whatsapp. It lost some of my groups as I did a number change twice. Not happy, just miffed at it.

Xiaomi started out as MIUI custom Rom for android. then they decided to just make their own phones.

I see a few people asked about the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum here before. Did anyone actually end up buying it? Was it worth it?

Lots of positive reviews on Takealot but question marks about local availability of the replacement filters (needed every 6 months).
Wondering whether to pull the trigger. In a household with a lot of allergies, hay-fever, two cats, a toddler in play school. Keen to clean the air and see if that helps...

I bought 2 through ebucks about a month ago. Posted some pics and review in the ebucks thread. I will try and look for the link.
I'm in Somerset West and could let you use one of mine for a few days to see if it helps.
My 5 year old no longer coughs at night when she sleeps and can only attribute it to the air purifier.

Thank you. It looks great. Didn't realise it provided an ongoing readout in terms of air quality.

Can't see the replacement filters on the Mi Africa site either. What's your plan for replacing them?

Just logged into the one unit now and there's 85% left on the filter.
Their app allows you to set some automation so it's set to switch off at 08:00 and back on again at 16:30. The app also allows you to put on the child lock so none of the buttons on the unit works. My 5 year old will press any buttons she can find.
