Connected devices has a coupon 'return200' for R200 discount on your order. Supposed to be for returning customers but seems any new account can use it. Also 'saveme150' for R150 off

Yeah that's not gonna work. Phone can ring, notification light etc but the screen is completely black.

Currently on a Xiaomi Redmi A4

Any suggestions for my next Xiaomi device?

Am thinking of the Redmi 6 32Gb or Redmi 8 64Gb.

The resolution on the Redmi range is poor. For a little more consider the Redmi Note range even if it's 32gb.

I bought my mom the Redmi 8, she is very happy and praises the large 5000mAH battery and large screen although it is sluggish at times due to the weak CPU

You might find the price increase significantly if they had to start doing this. Advertisement costs etc.

Afaik they are intentionally only relying on 'online sales' and word of mouth advertising.

Yea i get this.. Just not everyone has access to cash like this.

Im pretty sure they could make money if they partnered with some places like charge a 5-10% interest on loan of 24months. Will still be a easy easy seller to most.
