The Official Xiaomi Thread

Well done! I have been watching them on Gearbest and Banggood, but they do not have shipping to SA How did manage to order them?
yeah I tried to get them shipped directly here but no luck. So I had to get Banggood in Spain to ship it to my Aramex global shopper box in the UK, which then Aramex will ship it to me.

Has anyone here loaded and running on Xiaomi EU software? Are there any issues or problems to note in running it?

Took delivery of a Redmi 9C yesterday from Takelot. So far I am VERY impressed both with Takelot and this new phone of mine :) :)
Phone ordered and paid for on December 21. Delivery date 29 December. Imagine my surprise when the phone arrived December 24 in time for Christmas :cool::thumbsup:. Thank you Takelot :giggle::love:.

I'm loading it tomorrow, did the phone unlock.
Waiting period ends today or tomorrow

had a bit of an accident involving the car door and my note 8 pro. Anyone know of a reliable place i can take it to/contact for repairs?

i have 3 quotes now, one ridiculous one of 2k (bought the phone for 3.4k) so that one is out. But even the cheapest one is half of what i paid for the phone. So now the question becomes do i repair it or can i get something with similar/better specs for less than shelling out for the new Note 9 pro? Gearbest and Banggood doesnt seem to ship to SA for anything i have looked at. Anyone familiar with Sunsky online and know if they are reliable? they seem to ship to SA still.

Try Amazon UK - it's a bit more than Gearbest/Banggood but not much when you factor in the customs duty that Amazon charges upfront. I ordered a Note 9 Pro and it got delivered within a week through DHL.

I also saw that Cash Crusaders are now distributing Doogee smartphones. This option doesn't look too bad: https://www.cashcrusaders.co.za/new-goods/doogee-n20-pro/stockcode15463

I saw the Doogees in Cash Convertors the other day. Never heard of them before, but then that was true of Xiaomi as well way back when. Are they as reliable as Xiaomi? I really like Xiaomi and would prefer to stay with them but i can't take much more of this backup Vodafone tablet i'm using,if i don't correct this soon it's going to get stuck against some wall

Had a Doogee years ago and it was good and feature-packed, but nowhere near the Xiaomi quality ito build and specs, particularly the battery life.

They've had Doogee for years now. They aren't bad phones, quality has gone up over the years compared to the first ones I got about 3 years ago.
