I'll ask Loot to try and get the phone's PIN from whoever returned the phone, but I don't think that is going to happen. The other option (I think) is for the previous owner to remove the phone from their Google account.
Good luck with that!

Wow, guess what!? I found a way to circumvent the problem and I'm now logged in. This is after I packed away everything as neatly as I could, ready to return everything.

I don't think its wise to share publicly, let's just say it was a comment on a blog post that worked. I can see how the info in the blog could have worked, before Google patched it.

That was lucky.

Glad for you! I bricked my own phone and I know how difficult it was to unbrick it myself

Bought a phone for a friend of Mi Africa due to Takealot not having stock. Next day delivery with free shipping. Top draw service....

Is it just me or is this a good deal?

I need a new phone sometime. Had the note 9 pro on my radar but haven't done my due diligence on research unfortunately.

Is there anything I should be concerned about on the phone? I'm worried about it being too big...

I am coming from a Huawei p smart.

TIA

That is a good deal. It's the lowest I've seen for local stock.
And yes the only caveat is the size.

Can anyone advise the best place to get a new cover and screen protector for my note 9s.
Mia Africa have, but I'm reluctant to pay R100 shipping, Takealot have a few with mixed reviews, so unsure which ones are good.

I'll rather wait for the Note 10, or get the Note 8.

IIRC the Note 9 have some performance issues. Can somebody confirm?

lol - talking about size.

Previous phone was a Redmi 4A. Company phone is a Huawei P20 lite.

P20 lite is bigger than the A4.

Now that I've upgraded to the Redmi Note 8 (now it is bigger than the P20 lite), and my phone rings/beeps I automatically reach for the smallest one... :cautious::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL:

Do you want to replace the ones that it came with?

Thanks everyone. I will also read up on the note 10 but guessing it's going to cost a lot more and my budget is tight. I suppose this deal is so good as they want to get rid of the 9 stock.

I would say go for it at that price, is still a really decent phone. You get used to the size quickly, only thing that was a downside on it for me was LCD screen, but if that isnt an issue then would go for it.

It looks like a nice phone, but I think that you are at least half right about the screen size. It is a bit small, as I have a Max 3 and I love the large real estate...

If you use the phone a lot for reading, playing games, etc, then bigger is better.

Use a good case on the Note 10 & Note 10 pro. It bends very easily.

Still a good phone. Just a heads up.

edit : The video is in hindi but you get the gist of it.

it bends @ 11:18
