Has anyone else noticed fine scratches on the screen? I really wish we could get screen protectors for the Note 3 that are for the global version

He loves the 6" display as his eyesight isn't too great and he also finds the DT2W nifty.

He is set in his ways so I am hoping I can convince him to go Android. Battery life is also an important consideration as he currently gets around 4 days out of the Lumia and would probably be a bit mad at me if he had to sacrifice that :D

New note4 user coming from IPhone hardware

3 questions . I've noticed that when my BT headphones are connected , there is a hiss in the background. Obviously poorer audio chips. Can anyone else confirm. Doesn't happen when I use headphone socket - to be clear there is no hiss that can be heard on the headphones when I connect to other phones

2: the camera is really slow at taking photos and while the photo​ may look clear on phone when viewed on desktop - its quite blur. For a 13mp, my three year old iPhone 6 camera puts it to shame. Is that just this phone itself or a common problem with the note 4s - I guess I can't expect the world on a phone costing a fraction of a feature phone. The selfie cam is really good though.

3. Is it possible to upgrade to pure Android 7? - any easy to use guides to achieve this? While I like some of the MIUI concepts - I wanted a pure android experience but just couldnt wait for the nokia6

What will the customs/Duty be for this phone when it lands?(More or less)
Im thinking of getting this from Gearbest as they have the blue version and delivered in 7 days but dont want to end up paying another 2k in taxes.
Below are the options I get for shipping with Gearbest,Is Priority Line the same thing as EMS?

Just got my 2 x mi band 2's from gearbest malysia post shipping. Took just over 2 months and had to collect my parcel at capemail behind grandwest casino in cape town.
Customs came to around R66.00. Tracked my parcel with the 17track app.

You really have to forget that you ordered something using this method as I thought SAPO snatched it.

Going to buy a cheap ultrabook next but this time I'm not skimping on shipping.

I ordered the phone and a soft touch cover. I chose the DHL option.

Will see what goes for what when it arrives.

I changed the theme to Android N theme, this changes everything to look like Android 7, then I installed Nova launcher for the pure android look.

No I want Android 7 . Not happy that it is still running Android 6

Middle east express is Aramex.
 
It doesn't include duties/clearing fees. I've ordered my Mi5 a month ago from Gearbest, and received it today (Gearbest's fault, Aramex is quite speedy). It took them a whole month to process my order. Shipping with Aramex only took a week. I've paid $200 for the Mi5 and the customs/duties/clearance was just over R300. Costed R3000 in total for phone, shipping and customs.

Too lazy to look for his quote. But I'll try the open camera suggestion too.

As regards to BT audio, there will be a hiss as long as they're "cheap" headphones (<R2.5k).

Nah my 400 do not have a hiss. Maybe the note 4 has a different BT chip??

Yeah the camera sensor isn't great, I got my G4 back, that's the only thing I miss.
